neither of them had good arguments in my opinion.

kerry mostly talked about how bush's war on terrorism is just making a big mess and how irrelevant Iraq was to the war,
and bush talked about how a steadfast, strong approach to the war without faltering off course would help keep the U.S. safe.

Kerry was very vague in what his intentions were, and did not have a solid approach.

At one point in the debate Bush made the mistake of saying, "After 9/11 we had to go after the enemy, which was Iraq". Kerry caught him on this mistake and made him look like a fool.

At another point in the debate Bush caught Kerry on his contradictory view on the war in Iraq, his view was that our troops were pretty much fighting for nothing, but then that we need more troops in the war.

and Bush had a solid approach to iraq? he just keep going on about Kerry's positions and how they changed, and kerry kept clearing that up. Every time Kerry bought up something wrong with Bush plan, Bush would just go after his flip flloping positions, i thought that was funny. Bush trying to avoid the obvious.

the debate went to Kerry.

I can't believe a guy that used the word "trans-shipments" is running our country. He has zero speech skills. He stuttered every other word. Seemed defensive and uncomfortable...his body language showed that he was irritated and unsure. Kerry on the other hand seemed cool as a fan.

I'm really not getting how people see someone losing this debate and someone else winning.

It's the same people that always say they hate Kerry that think Bush won and the same people that always say they hate Bush that think Kerry won.

Neither one dropped the other. They each had their ups and they each had their downs, but neither of them scored enough decisive blows or consistent remarks to be declaired winner.
