Anyone use mIRC? or KAZAA light?

I just installed mIRC a few minutes ago and I'm flaming out pretty bad. I have no idea what I'm doing. And is KAZZA lite even worth pulling down?

I HATE mIRC. Unless you get luccy you're going to be sitting in a queue for a LONG time. That is if you are trying to get 0-Day shit. If you are downloading something like old episodes of a show or something you probably won't have to wait long. You will for new shit though.

Newsgroups mostly. For music I usually just go to sites. Everything else I go to newsgroups.

you can get on dalnet or efnet and get anything you need much easier. just look for acelumper on the channel i listed above

you just gotta find a server that will let you on. it depends what isp you got. go search for "efnet server" and find a server list and try one til it works

For mIRC you gotta know what your doin.. Like my brother, he gets just bout any movie he wants a couple weeks or days before it comes out..i remember him tellin me he was 1st in line more than 3 times.. you just gotta know what your doin and make some friends on the chat thing. they hook EVERYTHING up, trust me i know i musta watched about 20 movies around 2 weeks before they come out.

I did that with mIRC and I also installed Invision 2.0. But Invision isn't displaying groups when I pull up the list. It's just blank. I must have something configured wrong. I'll figure it all out eventually I guess.

mIRC is fairly easy to use once u figure it out. dont get on there expecting to get help from anyone, most of the people on irc are miserable computer nerds. when downloading off the bots make sure to read all the scrolling text cuz each server has a different trigger to get the album. and like tim said most of the time you're stuck waiting in a queue. if i need to download somethin i check around sites and FTP's first... irc is like the last resort for me.
