i found a ton of these on ebay for a couple bucks, i was thinking it would be worth it just for wrestlemania. Do these really work?

I had one it worked for a long time about 3 yrs. got my moneys worth ,then my box went outa year ago I took it in and I was charged for 3 fights outta 6 a few days later ,then I called the cable co and talked my way out of paying the bill,lucky me..then I used it again and ordered one fight in oct. then in jan. I was charged maybe cuzz they zappped the box or cuzz I took the filter out, i've taken the filter off before and never had a problem but buy at your own riskif you gonna use it a few times its worth it i got mine on www.cheapcablefilters.com for $9.95
