Old-school soul, funk, R&B music. Basically the stuff that rap samples heavily from. The originals usually turn out to be much better than the rap versions, several of them are amazing. I could make about 5 or 6 cds worth of old school soul songs directly followed by the rap songs their sampled with, it'd be cool.

Here's what is in the changer right now:

Donny Hathaway- Everything is Everything
John Coltrane- Blue Train
Sam Cooke- Night Beat
Al Green- Let's Stay Together
Tony Toni Tone- Sons of Soul
Anthony Hamilton- XTC
Bobby Womack- Midnight Mover
Marvin Gaye- What's Going On
Sly and The Family Stone- Stand!
Aaron Hall- The Truth
James Brown- Godfather of Soul

The only rap shit I got in there is Balance: The Mixtape and
Ice Cube- AmeriKKa's Most Wanted. It's good to see cats put an ear to other types of music every once in awhile......

Dam I listen to alot of different kinds of music....

Tied with rap/hip-hop music is Oldies-Marvin Gaye,Brenton Wood,Al Green,Womack,Delfonics,Stylistcics,Smokey Robbinson,etc

I like some of the newer rock/altrenative/what ever you want to call it music. Mars Volta/A Perfect Circle/Modest Mouse,Franz Ferdinand,System of A Down, etc

Alot of "Grunge" and other early-mid 90's rock- Nirvana,Sublime,Pearl Jam,Sound Garden, Rage Against the Machine, Tool, etc.

Alot of Funk-Zapp and Roger,Parliment,Funkadelic,etc

Alot of late 1980's early 1990's R and B

Well shit I like alot of different music I guess LOL.

I like any music despite the genre as long as it is good music.

I can honestly say I have NEVER heard a country (I don't count Johhny Cash he is more folk and I love his music even though a little is kind of country) or trance, rave, trip, acid, techno, type shit that I like.
