i dont know about now, but back in the day when aol 2.5 was out, there were programs where you would put in names of accounts, and then load a large text file full of words out the dictionary, and let it get to work, it would try each word on the account to see if it was the password, you would be amazed how many accounts i cracked, cause people would use simple ass words as their password. shark, john, etc.
Then people used to send out trojan horses, but telling the person they are sending it to, that it would mass mail people or anything to make aol more easier to use, when in reality it would jack the persons password and send it to an email account, then possibly delete everything on that persons computer so they couldnt do shit about it. they were called deletetrees i think, that was the command in dos to delete hella shit. i never knew how to make those but whenever someone sent me one i would just use a hex editor, open the file in ithe hex editor, find the email address and change it to one I created, so i would get the shit instead. I dont know how it is now on aol 7 or whatever its at now but i bet they still make shit like that. just ask around
