I have over 10,000 cards lined up in two huge boxes along with 25-50 in plastic cases and screw cases. Im just keepin' them stored for the nest decade or so see what their worth then. Don't bother taking the cards to a card shop, sell them on eBay, the best chance you have for making a profit.

you sure about that cuz I was lookin at the cards on ebay and they sell them for like 1/8 of what they're actually worth.

I figured a card dealer would give me like at least half.

It really depends on what card it is. You can have a $500 card and not a damn person wants to buy it. The single greatest factor when selling a card is it's future value, second comes its current value. Card shops won't pay close to half, usually they will offer you trade for your cards. Card shops want to buy cheap as possible because their going to resell them, when you do it on eBay, your the card shop. My brother sold a jersey card of Terry Bradshaw which has little no no potential value, for $90. It booked at $125-$150 I believe. Rookie cards are usually all card shops buy anyway, but shop your shit around, I think eBay is your best bet.
