Anyone here have an RMX1 or access to one? I came across some old disks and I think I forgot to dump these beats before I got rid of mine. If you have one or have access to one hit me up. If these disks disk contain the beats I'm looking for I will have no problem cashing you out for tracking out the beats.

I got the RS7000 ....It can handle RM1X data(I think...if they are .r2/.r3 files....are they?). Did you create them in song or pattern mode? Maybe the midi data will be easier.

UPDATE:

I don't know Hersey ....any effects and voice edit settings will be lost in the transfer process. Found this in another forum.

So i broke down and purchased a card reader and transferred all the files to find out that none of the effect or voice-edit settings have been retained. Damn.
Getting them all set back to how they were on the rm1x will be about as fun as getting slowly dipped in acid(house)...mehehehe
peace

Go to that forum at this link....there's a couple of people with an RM1X

I actually hit that board before I posted the question here. The files are might be r2/r3 and I dont remember what mode I made them in. I think I made them in pattern mode. With the midi data, I would still have to load the files because I dont see any midi files on the disk (and sometimes i save songs as midi data) and my keyboards that have floppys are not reading the disks.

The midi information is contained within the r2/r3 files. I can still give it a try though. I would import your files(save them as RS data before editing) then internally resample each track within the patterns and save them as .wav files, then export. But like ol boy said, any original effects would be lost. Or I can export an .SMF file and you can just import that into Cubase or whatever you use and rebuild it with some VST instruments that way.

you can find the rmx1 on ebay pretty cheap
When I checked EBAY they didn't have any and I don't want to buy one because I don't know if the disk I have contain the beats I need to track out.

@Dober I have the disk but I don't see any r2 or r3 files on it. I can shoot you the contents via email or pm and if its possible see if you can load it up. I can give you some samples of what I'm looking for because three people made beats on that machine, and it seems this disk may belong to someone else.

I used to use the RM1X too...but I can't remember the damn extension at all. Whatever it is , it can be converted. I'll see what I can do. If I get it to work out...you don't have to pay me...maybe you got some "Good" VST instruments I can use. Send what you got here
