tomorrow's the last day of school and I wanted to get my class something.. like an end of the year present. they're 6th graders. I'm not really made out of money, so I can't buy them all ps2p or gameboys or whatever the fuck 12 yr olds like these days.

I don't even really know what 12 yr olds like.. I mean, I do because I'm around them 7 hours a day... but I'm having a hardtime thinking about something to get every single student (there's 36). My price range is like 10-40 bucks.. I'll spend 50 if its some real cool shit.

But I don't really know. Anyone wanna give me some suggestions?

I have a 5th grader and a 7th grader.... and damn- theyre both different as hell.

Some suggestions.... the pizza or ice-cream parties are always a hit.. these kids are forever eating.. you can get chocolate and vanilla ice-cream with allll kinds of toppings for $25-$35... (go to the dollar store for cookies you can crush and put in a big container- same with candy bars, etc..)

*my older boy brought home some bottle of gatorade/juice with some kind of name-tag on it with a roll of lifesavers tied to the top with ribbon..

*my older boy again brought home (wrapper only!) those huge dollar store taffy's with "Marcos YOURE GREAT! Have a Fun Summer! Mrs. Clark" written on it in a sharpie..

-theyve also gotten passes to the local pool, personal pan pizza coupons, books (dont forget to read this Summer! ..lol..) and little trinkets.... I'm sure whatever you decide the kids will dig the surprise..

So yeah... candy, soda, sugar in general will be a hit.. :)

Well i work with 1st, 2nd, 4th grades and my younger brother is 21 now, so that's not much help.

But i think the pizza party idea is a good one. I had a ice crea party/snack party with the 4th gradesr adn they went nuts for it. You can really stock up on tons of stuff if you buy like the genaric brands of ice cream and kool aid, bake em cupcakes and shit.

The gift certificate idea is a good one too. Like movie passes or something, but i think that'd put you over that $50 mark. Local arcades usually have gift certificates too. You can also hit up the manager for some kinda school discount.
