anyone got good cooledit plugins/effects?

I'm lookin for all sorts of good popular effects like the effect where your voice sounds like you're on the phone.. etc.. are there effects like this in cooledit? i know there are a few included with cooledit but they sound generic.

What you want is DirectX plugins (or with a DX-VST adapter, VST plugins as well). These are very readily availible.

The 'telephone' effect is created by using either a bandpass filter or a high pass and low pass filter.

--Bumpus-- where can I find a Dx-Vst adapter??? would this let me use vst plugins and Instruments in say..Sonar??? beacause sonar only lets me use DX plugins...

Cakewalk puts out one just for that purpose. I believe it used to be FXspansion, but cakewalk bought the product.

I know. I've used many of their built-in effects but they sound real generic.. they don't sound close to the standard on other people's albums and shit. Like all the preset echo effects and phone effects.. they sound generic.

Have you tryed tweeking with the presets?? Like the feedback and delay times on the delay effect???? try experimenting with the parameters cuz allot of factory presets suck.

how else is a phone convo supposed to sound? pristine 24 bit quality? a high quality phone conversation is an oxymoron.
