anyone ever write an essay 4 a scholarship?

anyone ever have to write a 300 - 350 word essay for the national merit scholarship, academy adult scholarship, merit award scholarship or the president's institutional tuiton scholarship?did u get it and what kinda stuff did u talk about in ur essay? i need some help with this..

They give you some guidelines as far as what you can write.

And 300-350 words aint shit. What is that, a page? I would make it longer unless specified.

this paper im looking at just says when there due, how much u can get and other shyt like that but it doesnt say what its supposed to be about..so what do i write about, just how underprivelged i am or some shyt like that?

Yourself, your learning objectives, your learning experience, etc.

Some topics: Why you would be a good person to recieve the scholarship, what you hope to achieve with the scholarship, etc.

Dont talk too much about how underprivileged you are. Make it a small subsection of the essay. What they wanna hear is plans, goals, and hopefully see some writing talent.

If you know someone who writes really well, it wouldnt hurt to give them a few things you'd like to say and have them write it for you.

usually they tell you what to write about. if not, talk about why you think you deserve to win but don't just make it a sob story where you want them to feel bad for you...or talk about someone that inspires you or what you hope to achieve in life or something like that.

You know what when I was a senior in high school I wrote an essay for a full scholarship to Cal. It was for people who grew up less fortunate but still were top notch students. Long story short I ended up in the final three out of like 50 people. One of my bitch ass teachers took it upon himself to campaign against me being in the contest because according to him I had a fucked up attitude. I got eliminated from the contest because of my attitude and some chinaman won.

^^it depends on what the scholarship is. sometimes theyll have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, sometimes there will only be 1 winner, sometimes they'll have 100 scholarships to give out...it just depends
