i got sick of taking out all the bottles and cans so i recently switched to keeping a keg in the house. since im in seattle, in just put the bitch outside my window (its chilly up here) and run the lines inside to the co2. nothing better than cold beer on tap at the crib.
This may sound dumb, but does the CO2 keep it fresh no matter how long after it is tapped? I know one of the reasons for it is so that you don't have to pump the fuckin thing. We be having hella kegs at my house and sometimes there is a little left over. We tried it once the next day and it was awful. Worse than flat pop lol.
Damn thats tight. But ya, a keg should never last 90-120 days in the first place lol. You REALLY a lush if that is the case. Do you find that you save money doing this? Also, what kind of keg do you guys usually get. I usually fuck with Kokanee.
keg of good locally brewed IPA from your friend thats a brewmaster: $60
rental of a co2 tap: free
cooling the keg using the fresh seattle air: free
