where are you going to Kayak? one of the after school programs in Oakland that I used to go to would go out and do random shit like that....once we went white water rafting in the American River by sacramento.....shit was hella fun.....well, untill the "driver" of the raft decided it would be fun to go straight for a rock in one of the rapids to try to jump it.....well, the rafts are set up with three people on each side paddling, and the driver in the back with a big ass oar. we hit the rock and the driver flies out of the raft and so does the adult thats in the back on the left side, the girl in front of me flies back onto me, I twist my ankle and I knock the woman behind me in the jaw with my oar.....then the raft got hella stuck and we couldn't find our driver.....good times.....shit was hella fun tho...I wouldn't wanna kayak down there tho, I seen people flipping over & shit a few times, and I don't like the fact that you're strapped into the boat

On small - large lakes or small - large rivers under good weather conditions with some current, but no white water. Short trips after work or on weekends, just for recreation and moderate exercise. More just to get out and enjoy the weather and the water.

make sure you check out the river first, this was all of our first times but we still ended up some class 3 rapids....but during the class one's it was hella smooth and nice, most rapids dump into these small lakes so you can jump out and swim.....well, you can't since you'll be in a kayak, but yeah.

^That is, in fact, the business.

We went on a kayaking trip at work and it was loads of fun.

I actually found that going out on calm water with another person and trying to go as fast as you can is tight as well.

if I were to kayak it would have to be in the ocean or a big ass lake or something....I'm not fucking with no white water rapids in that little ass thing

I used to watch people kayak in the ocean in so-cal, shit looked hella fun when they were coming back and would catch a wave to ride back to shore

It has been something i want to start doing. Looks really fun and challenging, especially in class 3 or 4 rapids. Revive this thread whenever you head out!

Never been Kayaking but I go canoing at the University of Washington, its fun, there is a bunch of animals, Bald Eagles, Great Herons, turtles, ducks and of course the cheese dick frat boys drinking Keystone Light, but whatever, its definitely fun, a kayak would be cool to buy.

I do alot of rafting. Here in CO there's tons of good spots. I always see kayakers doing some crazy shit too.
