Anyone Computer Literate?

I wanna buy a new comp. What should I do? I wanna a machine that I can run games on for the next couple years without really havin to worry about upgrading. Should I just buy a dell and add memory and a new video card? Or does anyone have a better idea? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I used to be really down when I was younger with the computer shit. Well, it all depends .... If u can put on 4000 $ on it, go buy a workstation with 2 Pentium 4 Xeon processors lol .But yea the easier solution would be to buy a dell or a HP computer man, I dunno tell me exactly whatcha want

I just want a comp thats gonna run games.

Right now I'm lookin at getting a dell, upgrading to an 80gig HD, and buying RAM and a Radeon 9700 Pro. Win XP Pro too.

I was just wonderin if anyone knew a better way to get a good system for cheap. Short of building it myself, i'd fuck it up.

Well, my damn ass just couldnt wait and I ordered a dell.

2.5ghz
120gb HD
Win XP Pro
pretty much normal stuff from dell other than that

I'm gonna order a gig of ram and a raedon 9700 Pro tomorrow

All together its costin me a little over 1200.

I just hope I didn't fuck myself by gettin a Dell, but some good sources have told me it should be ok since I'm adding my own memory and video card. I could have had dell add the same things for about 550 more when I can buy them for about 360 and put them in myself.

Yeah that sounds like you got yourself a good setup there... but if I were you, Id buy the maximun amount of RAM your shit will upgrade to at one time. And make sure all the RAM is the same brand and shit so you dont have to worry about compatibility problems. There is nothing worse than mixing two different brands of RAM...that shit caused many headaches for me.

Yea, the comp comes with 256 but I bought me a gig today online for about 90 bucks. Generic brand but I've heard that RAM is pretty much RAM as long as its all the same shit.

I can't fuckin believe it, they already shipped my fuckin computer last night. My Comp is gonna be here before the new video card and ram is.

I dont know playa, ive heard of dudes fuckin with some generic RAM and they end up getting faulty results. But then again man, who really knows? Im not even sure what generic RAM is. It aint like there are Lady Lee or Safeway Select brands, lol.
