Anybody know someone whose house burned down?

Just happened to my homie. Came home and her whole crib was destroyed, everything gone. Nobody called the FD until it was too late. No one knows why.

Her 2 dogs suffocated. FD said it might have been a "wiring" problem. Worst of all, her fam ain't got no insurance of any kind at all. Life suckz.

Damn, man. I've thankfully never met anyone who has experienced this before. I wish the best of luck to your friend and her family...that's all I can really say on the matter.

yeah thats real fucked. my mom lives in san diego, and a month before the big fires down there she had to have her roof replaced because it was leaking. so she took out the old wood shingles and put in the new fiberglass stuff. every house within three blocks of her that had a wood roof during the fire burned to the ground, but she was all godd. lcuky as fuck

Yea, she said of her whole family, she was most worried about her dad cuz he's a really deep sleeper, but luckily wasn't home on Sunday afternoon.

I don't understand how you can own something worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, and NOT have insurance. First of all, its a REQUIREMENT of your lender, and second, its just the smart thing to do to protect your investment.

I am deathly afraid of fire, having my house catch on fire is one of my biggest phobias.

Real talk Dana...

A terrible thing about a fire.. even with insurance.... so many memories are lost and valuable items that can never be replaced.

My Aunt had a really bad kitchen fire... it was stopped at just inside the livingroom, destroying the front end of the house.. but even years after that.. there was black soot on things and sometimes you could still smell it..
