Anybody know a spot where i can customize a hat? Remember back in the day Nelly had a Cardinals hat in a video that had the "STL" and then embroidered next to it was "UNATICS" so it spelled "St. Lunatics"... Somebody also has a Yankees hat that says "I RUN" before the "NY"...

I was talking to a lids employee and he was telling me that the company is strict on what can go on a hat.

You have to upload your image through their website and then wait for your logo to arrive on CD. From there you take the CD to the Lids shop and they upload it to their computer.

It wasn't like that before

i didnt know they did all that

when my homie from oakland's son was born in atlanta i got him a braves hat that had bay embroidered on it
they charge a set price for the first 5 or some shit them an extra few cents per letter
they have a book of fonts sizes and colors and it takes about a half an hour depending how busy they are

yeah, I know they got the embroidering thing at hilltop definitely, but that's at the hat store so they might be strict.

my potna got city rich stitched into his shit tho....

but I seen a booth in a mall in LA that was just embroidering and they had generic hats, I'm sure there's other spots like that that are similar

if your doing hats for your line your gonna have to go overseas, not have to but its cheaper and quality control is good from some people i know that have done so they say the manufactures are good to work with and keep you updated the whole process...from what i heard new era is already booked for 2008...they used to sell blanks but stopped because they didnt want to be affiliated to whatever people were putting on them..."the we run ny" is a collab if i remember correctly.
