2011 has been tragic. i can count on 2 hands, family, relatives, friends all passed away at different points this year. my favorite uncle from sac beat stage 4 cancer last year only for it to come back late this year. he did well and was stronger this time around from the treatment but complications from pneumonia got him in the end.

that was my dads favorite cousin and you might remember my dads brother died earlier this year also.

other than that my moms sister died soon after and others we know. i don't know why it had to all happen at once. it seems like so many people are dying either personally or just watching the damn news.

we even got news an old friends son got murdered. shit is fucked up. it's just weird to think so many passed in just 1 year.

that's why i say. i been telling my cousins and fam cherish the ones you love and hope good memories can help you through.

cause that's all you have left in the end. is the memory of that person. hopefully they were good ones while they were here.

anyway good bye 2011 you bitch! hoping the world don't end in 2012!

Lost 2 friends this year.
One was really bad and put a lot into perspective.
It used to be 75+ of us. There were literally about 5 of us left at his funeral, with his Mom crying and screaming over the casket.
One of the worst feelings I've ever felt.

RIP to yours Manniacal.

Jerryka Brown who took her own life in july, and Christopher Owens who was murdered in his own house for fucking ps3 and a laptop 2 weeks ago. also lost a co-worker to cancer. 2010 was the most for family and this year was my friends.

no doubt boxing bretheren. illness is 1 thing getting your life cut short is another. it just makes it that much harder. i'm trying not to take any more losses in 2012..this is enough!

earlier this year, my uncle passed away...he was like a second father (no marty) to me...always made sure i didn't have an empty stomach, loved sports as much as i did, and he showed a lot of support for me in terms of pursuing a career in the art field. although he didn't know much about art, he appreciated everything i did, and always motivated me to just keep pushing to strive to be a better artist. he was definitely a fighter, he had a bout with cancer (no 4sidedlie) about 4-5 years ago and a heart attack late in 2009, but he succumbed to health complications...

i also lost my dog, who i consider my first pet...he was a month shy of turning 15, before putting him to sleep. he experienced arthritis pretty bad in the last couple of months before he passed, and i didn't want him to suffer anymore, since it kept getting worse. he could barely walk for a long period of time (i would take him out for a walk for about 20-30 mins everyday), let alone stand on his hind legs for more than a few minutes...

rest in peace to both my uncle and my dog...i will keep it lit for both of them as long as i live.

and rest in peace to all the fellow brehs lost family members, friends, and loved ones...

My mom passed away on July 25th of this year. Which also happens to be my nephew's birthday. Which she helped raise. No regrets though, we did all we could until it was her time.

@ Rossibreath, keeping your grandma in our prayers.

I lost my grandma this year and that shit was tough. She lived 50 minutes away most my life and we were pretty close. She was 82 so all and all she got a lot of mileage outta this life and had a great impact on the lives of those around her.

I guess the worst part is my Grandpa has had to learn to live life on his own. He's doin pretty well, it's been about 8 months but I can't even begin to imagine havin your wife pass away after bein married 61 years. I've been kickin it with him a lot tho since it happened and he comes down and stays at the house which is cool.

Lost both my grandparents in Feb/March. They were married for 66 years and still acted like a young couple. Grandpa recfeived a purple heart in WWII...was a tank commander in the Battle of the Bulge. Grandma was the closest person in the world to me. Other than my own selfish desire to have them around forever, there's nothing for me to be sad about..gpa didn't last a month w/o her

I feel for any of you all who have had to watch a family member suffer before they go or have a loved one die too young

Edit....I just read your post wheregoliathat...trip cause its close to what I wrote
