Yes, I can.
First up to perform was a rapper named Daddy V. He was tight, better than any no-name opener I have ever heard. He is a Compton OG and he sang some tight songs. His beats were hard and so were his lyrics. It was straight gangsta shit to the fullest. I talked to him a little bit after the show. He was giving much props in his lyrics to old school Los Angeles area rappers who paved the way for him. He was giving a lot of props to Eazy-E for getting the gansta music cracking. I am going to try to get his CD from him. He gave me his info.
Digital Underground came out about half an hour later. It was Shock G/Humpty Hump and Money B. All of their music was live. They had a drummer, keyboard players, guitar players, mixer. It was hard to distinguish between songs because at that volume and if you don't know all of thier lyrics by heart, then they tend to sound the same.
They sang songs such as Same Song, Underwater Rhymes, Sex Packets, Kiss You Back, The Humpty Dance, Oregano Flow. Most of the songs they performed were from their first four albums, I don't recall any from their last two albums. Shock G also sang his part on I Got 5 on It remix and both him and Money B sang their part on I Get Around. Shock G did a lot of improvising on his own keyboard. He would get a beat from the drummer and then use the keyboard and turn it into one of his own or someone elses and then rap over it. He also did some old songs such as More Bounce to the Ounce.
At 1:30 they were supposed to finish, but he said to the crowd, "How many want us to keep going?" Everyone cheered, so he said, "Fuck it, we're going to perform until they kick us off stage." He went all the way until 2:00. He also sang some songs from his new sole, titled "Fear of a Mixed Planet." I got a free one when they were throwing them out, but I have not listened to it yet.
Overall, a solid show. Shock G even put on his Humpty nose and sang songs as Humpty. I give it a 10/10. Plus the place was so packed. I honestly did not think there would be that many people there, but there was hardly any room to walk in there.
