cool.

I can be just as childish as the rest of us here....but, i am also business minded...you can say my personality is two ways....

I have many interests and read, watch documentary stuff, find out about current events as well as global, market, business...nope u would deff not peg that by just my looks or what i write here...
you must be a very independent person. but on another note, don't trip. you don't have to explain what your about to me. i come on hear to pass time as you do. yeah, im sure we'd surprise eachother.

radio, you seem like an open minded individual..and hopefully everyone else gets some nice insight from this passage i'm goin to copy from "an autobiography of a yogi" a book i'm reading right now by Paramhansa Yogananda. i find this passage relating well to this topic since everyone is defining their own perception of what success is lol.

ok.
"master you are wonderful!" a student, taking his leave, gazed ardently at the patriarchal sage. "you have renounced riches and comforts to seek God and teach us wisdom! It was well-known that Bhaduri Mahasay had forsaken great family wealth in his early childhood, when single-midedly he entered the yogic path.
"you are reversing the case!" The saint's face held a mild rebuke. "I have left a few paltry rupees(their currency in India), a few petty pleasures, for a cosmic empire of endless bliss. HOw then have i denied myself anything? I know the joy of sharing the treasure. Is that a sacrifice? THe shortsighted worldly folk are verily the real renunciates! They relinquish an unparalleled divine posession for a poor handful of earthly toys!"
I chuckled over this paradoxical view of renunciation-one which puts the cap of Croesus on any saintly beggar, whilst transforming all proud millionaires into unconscious martyrs.
=) i lol'ed at that last line.

radio, i am not religious in the context that you define it as.

i do not follow any particular'god' except the one within myself, i hope to someday soon feel(eventually, BE) the god within all that is, even tho logically i know it is there.

I hate that movie.

It's based off something that's fairly common knowledge and explainable in psychology. Theres no hocus pocus about it. The way "the secret" presents it is all twisted and misleading.

Let me briefly explain...

First of all visualizing how you want to do something or a goal you wish to achieve is nothing new. Visualization is common in the warm-up routine for many pro-league athletes. Actions follow thoughts, this is common sense.

Secondly if you preoccupy your mind with the thought of an object or goal, you will see more things related to whatever it is you're thinking of in your environment. Lets say you have a goal, if your mind is preoccupied with this goal you will think of ways to attain this goal and seek possible opportunities in your environment.

The human mind can only process a small amount of incoming stimulus from any given environment. Your mind filters out majority of incoming stimulus and data as useless information depending on 1. past experience 2. what you are consciously thinking and 3. thoughts you have had in a past period of time. If you're thinking of baseball, you might see things related to baseball in an environment where most people wouldn't notice anything. If you're a gang banger you might see graffiti and signs in environments where most people would not notice anything.

You can consciously change your mind's "filter" to the mass of incoming stimulus in any given environment, but you are not actually attracting anything to you with your "mind power". Theres no magical "mind power" to it.
