Top members of large regional gang arrested

A yearlong crackdown on gang violence in San Diego has led to arrests of top-level members of one of the largest black gangs in the region, authorities announced yesterday.
Six men, ages 28 to 54, were arrested during early morning raids yesterday in several areas of the city. Six other gang members were taken into custody earlier in the month as part of the current investigation.
“The arrests have resulted in the dismantling of the leadership of one of the largest street gangs in southeastern San Diego,” said San Diego police Chief William Lansdowne. He declined to name the gang.
Officers also seized $12,000 in cash, a small amount of narcotics and five pit bulls being trained for dog fighting. More arrests are expected.
San Diego police gang Lt. John Leas said some men picked up this year were second-and third-generation gang members.
The FBI, the District Attorney's Office and the Violent Crimes Task Force also were involved in the raids and investigation.
The suspects have been charged with crimes ranging from narcotics and firearms trafficking to conspiracy to commit murder.
Lansdowne said that from January to August of this year, San Diego police arrested 879 documented gang members and seized 98 guns. He said 85 gang sets and 3,500 documented gang members are now in the city.
The latest arrests have helped reduce gang crime this year, along with the fear and intimidation gangs breed, Lansdowne said.

I hate saying this shit, but we are going to have to get our shit together on a MACRO-LEVEL. Promoting death in the community against are own families is getting old. Promoting life, jobs, and spreading wealth secrets is what we need to start concentrating on. Man it's too many ninja's that could have been something, and they life and the ninja they killed, has gone down the drain.

True spitz folks. However, no matter how you look at it, shit is going to be fuccc'd up. In order for us to come together we all got to want it. You can talk about unity and stop the violence... It has to become a lifestyle. It's cats that "Rep" a set but have no idea about the history or the legacy.(however you look at it) I've been around a long time and seen alot of shhh. I know real ones from all kinds of places. I can talk with the best of them but will some of you young ones listen?
