Any tips for making a title on a cover?

I always wanna make a good title but suck lol. For example like these:

Shit making those is pretty simple if you're cool at using the pen tool. But if you're stuck on ideas and shit hit up sites like http://www.shutterstock.com for some inspiration or if you want to actually buy the source file. You can pretty much even copy them if you want.

I'm average with the pen tool. I can trace and shit good but making my own fancy curves like that nah. Anyone know where to get some good professional patterns?

Try creating one side, duplicate the layer and flip it, then merge (or link) with the other layer.

i may be wrong but i think he means like how to draw like circles and shit perfect (symmetrical) without using the shape tool.. i'd say that would be just str8 ninja skills or editing the anchors until it looks perfect
