Any suggestions for firewire audio/midi interface?

Im using a g3 ibook and im looking for around four audio inputs (1/4"), a midi interface, and possibly a mic preamp?
After lagging way too long for this essential addition for a digital studio I finally got some scrill behind me for the purchase and I want the best bang for the buck!

I'd also reccomend the 410 as a good low cost solution. I've got it's cousin the Omni I/O and it's real nice to work with. The preamps aren't top of the line of course, but they're real clean and get the job done for a lot of applications. You might find that there's too few analog inputs for your needs though, as well as no midi.

thanks for the replys....also i was wondering about some "worth your money" midi controllers, possibly something like an oxygen so it can be transported easily. Any suggestions?

i'd suggest to just get a PCI card
but that's just me
and if you plan to upgrade your quality make sure it takes AES or SPDIF
this way you can get better converters along the line and not need an entirely new interface
