Let me start it off:

Can I Be

the one you call when things seem so confusing?
the one you lean on when you get too tired?
the one to carry you when your feet hurt?
the one to wipe your eyes when your in tears?

Can I Be

the one to kiss away all the pain?
the one you pray that god brings you?
the one that puts that smile back on your face?
the one that puts the kick start in your day?

Can I Be

the one that holds your hand when you need reassurance?
the one that's with you when people look in admiration?
the one that tells you I Love You everyday and means it?
the one that you confide all your dreams in?

Can I Be

the one that sends you flowers at work 'just because'?
the one that enters your dreams at nite just to say hello?
the one that brings you medicine and comfort when your sick?
the one that tucks you in at nite?

Can I Be

the one who washes your back when we shower together?
the one who let's you get yours before I get mine?
the one who ask's you what feels good instead of just sticken?
the one to tell you how sexy you look while on top?

Can I Be

the one who takes you to places you've never been?
the one who shows you the side of life you thought was just in movies?
the one who brings you the things you need at any hour of the night?
the one who changes your outlook on these fake ass men?

Can I Be

the one you tell all your friends you Love?
the one you show pictures of?
the one you daydream about?
the one you are willing to go against the grain with?

Can I Be

the one who ask's your parents for your hand?
the one you have a family with?
the one you grow old with?
the one you call your husband?

Can I Be

all of those things and then some?

if not........

Can I just be your best friend who understands you and what your going thru?

Here is another titled (N-U-I-C-ME):

All these years I've searched for a purpose to my life.
Questioned every decision I've ever made.
Asked the lord why he has kept me here for so long?
I don't have non of the answers, but seem to have the questions.
I see you in my dreams and imagine you when I am awake.
You look at me and love me for me.
And I know when you see me, you are proud to call me yours.
When I stare at you I see everything that I cannot be.
I see your innocence, your courage and the better half of me.
I watch you move in dissbelief.
I am in awe of the things your little body can do.
You smile at me with not a care in the world and I always seem to tear up.
Your incredible & something that I never thought I could take part of.
I can sit for hours and watch you sleep.
Your so calm in a world that is in such a hurry.
You have given me my reason.
That light at the end of the tunnel.
To you I am perfect & can do no wrong.
Something I haven't felt in years.
I can really be "me" to you cause it's all you know.
I am your father and you are my child.
To watch you stare into my eyes amazes me...your so observant.
It's like your looking into my soul and healing every wrong I've done.
In a sense saying daddy, it's ok..."I" am here now.
You are my first success, my first right & my first born.
You are not a mistake but better yet a miracle.
Baby I love you so much it hurts.
I want so bad to make sure you are always happy.
and when your old enough to understand me, I want to thank you.
Yes....thank you.
You made me become a man; the man I am today.
Cause in you I see me...the better me.
The me I have been searching for.
& the me I have always wanted to become.
I love you deeply for that.

Right now...we are strangers & you are not even a seed.
You are my unborn & still just a daydream as well as a prayer.
When we do meet it will be more like a "hello and what took you so long daddy?"
Rather than hello to a complete stranger.
I already miss you baby, so I'll try not to waste anymore time ok?

ok, well im not big on writing about love, and relationships...i find them as minor issues in a complicated world with so many other things to worry about. but heres just something i wrote for my ex as i dazed off into my own little corner...

if the world stopped spinning tomorro would you still be here. if the beginning finished before it began would you still be mine. if the water stopped flowing would you still swim, if the wind stopped blowing could i still spread my wings. if the sun set for the last time would you be able to see the tears in my eyes. if the darkness overcame would i be able to see the smile upon your face. if i lost all feeling would i know you were holding my hand. if i couldn't walk would you still stand beside me. if i couldn't speak would you listen anyway. if i was to cry would you help to dry my tears. if i was to fall would you pick me up. if i could not tell the truth would you believe me anyway. if i got lost would you help me find my way. if i never knew would you tell me you loved me because if the world stopped spinning tomorrow i hope i would know.

Evolving from the womb - two of a kind, conceptual Bonnie and Clyde,
For you I'd perish and die a thousand death's, true expression on the express in,
Color blinded, but even Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles can describe your beauty,
Unparalleled by even the shimmering rainbow over a blanket of snow, covering the Sun,
Beating against my bedroom window, a warm invasion of privacy driving democracy,
Striving of your worthiness, ink stains fill indentions - my intention is my mind's invention,
Driving me to create in the name of the bass, timeless tales create the pressence of space,
Your essence is imagination, imagine a nation's image depending on your declaration,
I try to decipher you, but in frustration you're left struggling beneath lounge smoke in Billie Holiday's lungs,
Cantankerous, you reach without luck, eyes full of tears, reaching for my first love..Music.

IT WAS YOUR FAGILE SILENT EYES THAT GRIPPED MINE,

THE CONFIDANCE IN YOUR STRIDE AS YOU CASUALLY WALKED BYE,

THE INNOCENCE IN YOUR FACE AS YOU WATCHED MINE,

THE REFLECTION OF SELF AS WE STOOD EYE TO EYE,

A VERSATILE MIND THAT SHAPES TO THE COMPLEX OF FORMS,

EVEN IN THE MOST KAOTIC OF TIMES IT SEEMS LIKE YOU WOULD NEVER LOOSE CONTROL,

EVEN IF ALL THESE ATTRIBUTES YOU OBTAIN,

I STILL FEEL THE NEED TO EXTEND MY HAND SO YOU COULD NEVER GO ASTRAY.
