i wonder who is paying for those adds. companies that want workers to work only parttime at minimum wage with no benefits? i hate to see lazy people entrenched in unions and rewarding bad work, but at the same time without the union management would decrease pay and take advantage of workers.

There are lazy people that work in every job. Some have the good fortune to land a union job - which fortunately for them and to the detriment of others does usually make it harder for them to be fired. Conversely the people who do work hard are rewarded at a rate that is more commensurate to their skill level and commitment and receive the kind of improved job security and work environment they are deserving of.

Most often though, if a person is truly deserving of termination, union or no union, they will be fired in due time.

Part of 2 unions....no complaints.... the managers fear unions. But yeah...its only worth it if you keep the job long enough to hit the journeyman rate...which was 33 months for me.

i live in arizona no unions out here, right to work state. those commercials are geared to turn union states into right to work states RTW sucks basically tmeans they can give you no benifits and have the ability to can you without notice
