are CD's sold at shows picked up by soundscan?

How many are sold per show?

Also...

there are three in-stores this week alone (KC, Omaha, and Columbia)...anyone know roughly how many are sold by the store just for the signing?



It's gotta be big numbers for both...

yea princes last tour he gave you his new cd for free, and i guess that made it look like hed sold way more cds than he really did, it was kind of a controversy

I went to the Omaha in-store signing, hes such a nice guy, met him back in 2003 in Lincoln as well (had to drive approximately 1hr to get there, parents took me). But was well worth the trip :)

I think the only numbers being showed in Soundscan, is cd's who got sold trough Shops/stores!

but remember Soundscan is ONLY the sales from America.. not Europe and the rest of the world. so you can really never trust them numbers.

I'm not sure they count for Soundscan, but I know Billboard started taking it into consideration in determining chart position a few years ago (they consider sales AND radio play).
