When a person FACTUALLY experiences the reality of God, the residual effect is that he desires for every other soul on the planet to awaken to the ecstasy one experiences in God. The majority of the planet is walking around in darkness, completely ignorant to the Supreme Controller, their own spiritual essence, and their relationship to Him. One who knows God also knows that his only occupation is to serve God and to help awaken the conditioned souls. Unfortunately, like the Matrix, most people do not wish to be disturbed, or "woken up". They think they are happy indulging in an illusion.

I haven't had too many Christians or Catholics try to "force me to believe in God". I already do believe in God, but since I call Him KRSNA and not YHWH, I am told all the time that I am going to hell. The way most of them respond to something other than what they have been conditioned to believe is by condemning it to hell and saying it is "the Devil". Such ignorance is most unfortunate.

They say that out of fear, not because it is true. And what is really ironic is that when someone says "I do not accept Krsna I accept YHWH", I don't tell them they are going to hell, I say that is fine, just LOVE YHWH with all your heart. Do everything for YHWH and think of Him constantly.

I find it odd that they respond to my request that they love God by saying I am going to hell, but conditioning is a muthafucka mayn.

i dont know of many christians who address YHWH as YHWH....jews? yes....christians....not many.....some but not many.....i would figure that if they used that term they would use RAUCH and MASHAICH as well.....

christian is actually a DEROGATORY (CHECK SPELLING) term.

as i have said MANY times on this board i could care less what ANYONE worships. you can worship a burger or a tree stump...thats on YOU!!!

OOPS...IM NOT SUPPOSED TO BE RESPONDING TO THESE TYPES OF THREADS....

Off top most Christians don't refer to God as YHWH, but when they are asked "What is God's name?", most that I have asked will refer back to YHWH.

Heresy may not care who anyone worships, but most who adhere to the Bible will claim that whoever does not worship God exactly as they do is headed to hell.

I don't know of any true Christians forcing religion on anyone....
There is hypocrites out there who come out aggressive but that can be said about any religous group.
According to apostle Paul in the New Testament,
being confrontational will not win anyone over.
It is through example that many will open their eyes.

what i'm saying is that when i say i'm an atheist, the start getting al defensive and shit. then the topic of, "then how do you think we got here?" comes up. i don't understand why people can't just respect other's beliefs and leave it at that.

Yea No shit. I can't even count how many times this has happened to me. For religious people they sure are judgmental.

Most of the people on the siccness can care less if we are Atheists, although there was a time when I got hate mail because of it...I have been part of many religious discussions on the sicc, and rarely has any one dissed me because I am an Atheist, although I can Imagine that a few members secretly hate me because of it.

I do understand what your talking about though. I have had numerous occasions in my real life where people have "tried" to force their beliefs on me. Force is a strong word I suppose...But there are thousands of christians in amerikkka that pass out flyers or whatever. I do remember one specific time some guy sat next to me on the bus. He was speaking very friendly to me and the entire time I was thinking what the hell this guy was trying to accomplish...Finally I realized he was trying to make me come to his church, I told him I was atheist and his attitude change dramatically. It seemed like he was disgusted with my reply and he simply got up, turned his head, and sat next to the "next victim."

I don't think the problem stems from the lack of respect for other people's beliefs.
The problem stems from the lack of respect for other people's differences.
Think about it, every conflict is a result of differences.
Like I've been sayin for a long time now, we need to focus on our similarities and not our differences....

Think of it like this RedStorm,If I am a firm believer in Christ, don't you think it would be wrong of me to not "plant a seed" into your head about eternal life if I know/believe it's FACT.To us,it's not like discussing UFO's or Lochness,we "know" theirs a God.I have a hard time believing someone goes as far as to FORCE it in your brain.I've been alive 27 years and have never had that experience, nor witnessed it in a Catholic or Christian evironment.I've even attended a Morman church and was'nt pushed into anything.

I don't think it would be wrong nor right for you to plant a seed in my head. As an atheist, I don't feel the need to explain what I think, I just let everyone decide for themselves. That's what a brain is for: thinking. What I am saying is that people go a little too far by questioning my beliefs instead of telling me theirs, which i think is wrong, unless I am doing the same, which I don't. And I would like to clarify something to everyone: maybe "force" was the wrong word to me to use. Maybe "agressively influencing" would be a better way to explain. And people keep saying they've never seen/heard of anyone trying to get them to join a religion. If you read the parenthesis at the end of my very first statement, I say that I am making these statements based on what has happened to me or people around me.

^^^CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:

A.) MAYBE YOUR WEAK MINDED. MAYBE THESE PEOPLE SEE A WEAKNESS/CHARACTER FLAW IN YOU. EASILY MANIPULATED?

B.) MAYBE THEY FELL AS IF THEIR DOING GODS WORK. IF THIS IS THE CASE THEY MEAN NO HARM. THEY MIGHT SEE THE LIGHT IN YOU...

I HAVE HAD "JAY-HOVAS"(JEHOVAHS WITNESS) SLAM *MY* DOOR IN MY FACE. I HAVE A DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE WITH "THE L-O-HEEM TEAMSTERS" (MORMONS). THE TEAMSTERS SIT AND CHOP IT UP WITH ME UNTIL ITS TIME FOR THEM TO CATCH A RIDE. THEY WALK AWAY WITH WITH INSIGHT.

BACK@RED STORM IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU DID HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CREATOR/GOD BUT YOU DONT...THATS ON YOU. YOU ARE ENTITLED TO YOUR BELIEFS.

GOD BLESS EVERYONE
