Your DIGI 002 manual will tell you how to plug it in so rtfm on that one. As for that green tint and sparks comin' out of your computer... Sounds like you roasted your video card. If you got another one laying around or can borrow one, swap it out and you'll know immediately if its the video card or the monitors.

Use the cable that came with the digi 002. Plug it in the digi 002 and the firewire port on your mac. If I'm not mistaking g5's come with firewire ports. If that doesnt work purchase a seperate firewire card ($25-45), install and be on your way.

Concerning your monitor is it close to your speakers?

Concerning your install of pro tools version 5.4  do you mean 6.4? Didn't the digi goon answer your question on the site?

My friend had to install his on OS 9 but ran everything else on the same mac from panther or jaguar (can't remember which one).
