thanks to erybody who had input on the last one.........

i have a '89 Chevy Caprice Classic Station Wagon

V8 307 5.0L

my question is how do u stop the car from deiseling?

i got a tune up and its still deiseling........

i was told to run some fuel injector cleaner thru the PCV valve cus there probly is carbon build up in the ignition chamber.........but my car passed smog a few months back,if there was carbon in the there wouldnt it be considered "dirty" and not pass?

i was also told to turn the distributor cap cus it might be the timing, but my cap has the four pins on the bottom and u cant turn it.........

i've turned down the ideling............

any suggestions?

sounds like carbon buildup to me i would try a quality fuel injection service first and see what happens. when i say fuel injection service i dont mean just having fuel injector cleaner poured in through your PCV valve either. at my work we have a fuel injector service machine made by BG that works pretty good. you stick this machine's little hose through your throttle body and put up about 40psi to the machine and run the vehicle at about 2500rpm. find a shop that got a similar type service.

if it was carbon build-up then wouldnt i have not passed smog?

go to the chevy dealership, ask for GM top end cleaner, run it threw the motor per instructions, and watch the problem disapear, in the mean time, so your not embarrassed infront of hoes, turn the key off with the car in gear, and your foot on the brake, good luck.
