WWE: Kurt Angle wrestling despite suffering from major health problems

We’ve learnt over the past few days that Kurt Angle is currently working through a serious neck injury that in theory should be keeping him out of action for several months.

Angle is insisting on keeping to his heavy schedule with WWE despite being plagued by a reoccurrance of the neck injuries that have caused him so much pain and trouble over the past few years. Sources close to the situation have today said that Angle is refusing to ease his workload or take time off as he continually wants to prove he is one of the best wrestlers of his generation.

From what we understand, Angle’s current neck problem has been with him since the turn of the year, but he has no desire to step down and take time off from television, citing the need for him to “step up” at a time when Smackdown! has suffered from the loss of Batista in the main event picture.

He'll be cool if they give him opponents like Mysterio, Orton, Beniot, Regal, Booker T

Dont forget Angle is only 5'11 230 pounds. If they give him power opponents like Batista, Undertaker, JBL, Fit Finlay, Mark Henry then its game over bc handling them big guys would make his neck go out any givin time.

Im sure him and Mysterio will be the program until mid summer bc in the show taping teh doing here in May it will be Angle vs Mysterio for the belt in a steel cage

WWE: Kurt Angle injured during Smackdown! TV tapings?

We’re trying to get more information from the WWE camp ahead of tonight’s Smackdown! brand house show in Cologne, Germany - the first of three shows in three nights in Germany - on the condition of Kurt Angle. Angle was said to have been in pain following last night’s Smackdown! TV taping in London, England and was seen leaving Wembley Arena holding his arm and shoulder. While there’s the possibility that Angle and WWE were just working fans, WWE officials threw up the ‘X’ sign (usually a sign that a wrestler has suffered a legitimate injury) after the cameras stopped rolling at last night’s show. The possible injury came as a result of the running splash through the table at the hands of Mark Henry.

Angle is currently working through a serious neck injury that should be keeping him out of action for several months and is said to be in pain and severe discomfort on most days as it is.

We hope to have more on the situation very soon as well as having results from the show in Cologne later today. If you’re attending any of the remaining shows on the European tour, feel free to get in touch!

WWE: Update on the condition of Kurt Angle

In an update on the condition of Kurt Angle, it appears that the Smackdown! star may well miss next week’s Smackdown! TV tapings to allow his body to heal up a little following a gruelling tour of the UK and Mainland Europe that ended last night.

Angle, along with the rest of the WWE roster, travelled back to the United States early this morning for a well deserved short break, and is still said to be in some pain following an injury to his arm and shoulder area which came about at last Saturday night’s TV tapings in London, England.

As previously reported here at WrestleMag, Angle is currently working through a serious neck injury that should be keeping him out of action for several months and is said to be in pain and severe discomfort on most days as it is. It’s not expected that he will take much time off though, and if he misses next week’s TV tapings is more than likely to return the following week.

WWE: Angle sidelined indefinately due to injury

WWE this afternoon announced via WWE.com that Kurt Angle will be out of action for some time. Although the .com report stated that Angle has suffered a broken rib courtesy of Mark Henry this past week on Smackdown!, this is purely storyline related and is not the real reason for Angle taking time out.

As we’ve previously reported over the past couple of weeks, Angle is in severe pain due to insisting on working through reoccuring neck problems as well as pain and discomfort in one of his arms. Although he reportedly does have an issue with his ribs, they are not the reason he will be off TV for the next couple of weeks.

The story broken on WWE.com is the first of many planned storyline driven articles on the website as new Managing Editor, Michael Cole, looks to put his stamp on the website’s content.

Kurt Angle has suffered a cracked rib. As a result of the injury, the Wrestling Machine will now be out of action for an undetermined amount of time.

The injury originally occurred on the recent European tour when Mark Henry delivered the World’s Strongest Slam to Angle during a match in New Castle. “At that point, I wasn’t even sure if I was going to be able to compete against Mysterio for the World Heavyweight Championship,” Angle later admitted to WWE.com. But being the intense competitor that he is, Angle kept his injury to himself and fought valiantly for the title he feels he rightfully deserves.

Unfortunately for Angle, the final straw came when Henry, perhaps realizing he injured Angle earlier in New Castle, dismantled the Wrestling Machine on SmackDown with a near 400-pound splash through a ringside table.

Just as he did to former World Heavyweight Champion Batista, Henry injured Angle to the point where he will now be out of action indefinitely, meaning he must forfeit his spot in the King of the Ring tournament. As a result, Booker T advances to the final round.

That "X" sign can't be the real signal they use for injuries anymore.. They just play it off like that since they know everybody knows that..

Like when Flair got "hurt" at Mania..
