Andre Nickatina question

I dont know if anyone out there knows or not, but I was wondering what type of numbers Nickys albums do sales wise. I got a magazine with an interview with him sayin that he sold like 150K copies of the New jim Jones. Anyone know how much any other albums sold, like CR3?

I don't think any of his other albums have near as many numbers as the New Jim Jones did. As for the numbers I"m not sure. You'd have to check Soundscan or find info with someone who knows

Im not totally sure abour this but the way Dre made it sound in the interview is that New Jim Jones sold 150k before he released his 2nd album Hate u with a passion. Anyone got the soundscan figures for any of dre's albums? I heard that midnight machine gun rhymes with Equipto scanned like 30k

^^ Maybe, but I find 150k before IHATEYOU to be hard to believe. I mean he was pretty popular immediately, but thats a lot of units for an extremely new rapper to the game.
They werent that far apart either... a little less than 2 years i think.... but i dunno... maybe.

IHATE YOU came out in 95 and im pretty sure that New jim jones came out in late 91 or early 92, but either way I see your point. Alot of records in a short period of time for a new artist. Gotta admit though Smoke Dope and Rap was in everybodys tape deck. Remember the Red tape?

In the interview with Nicky he's asked about his first single and how his first album did and he says, " The Ave... man that shit blew up. New Jim Jones itself did cool, 150k copies was sold and I was on a label at that time." Sounds like he's sayin it sold 150 k right away to me, not sure though??? NO BODY OUT THERE KNOWS HOW MUCH NICKYS ALBUMS SELLIN, NO ONE GOT ACCESS TO SOUNDSCAN?

yall must keep in mind how hot the bay was back at that time..the bay area sound influenced many of regions,,especially the mid-west..RBL moved more units than that wit "bammer weed"..in-a-minute made a fortune of these cats...believe me,,Dre has moved that many cd's & some...
