9/11 - Pearl Harbor

War in Iraq/Afghanistan - World War II

The Patriot Act - McCarthyism

Bush - Nixon

Rumsfeld - Hoover

Each of these historical examples are even worse than the bind we now find ourselves in. Is our situation really so dire, or are we so pampered in our modern society that we ascribe absolute relevance to comparatively minor issues?

Well, I think americans are freaked out mainly because of 9/11 and the media. 9/11 was an attack on american soil, a civilian city, where as pearl harbor was a military attack.

Of course the Iraq war is nothing compared to WWII or Vietnam, but that doesn't mean it shoudln't be debated or worried about.

I think some americans, including myself, are more conserned with the direction our country and the rest of the world is headed. I mean, look at the middle east and how we just completey fucked that up. The majority of the world views america negatively and things are getting worse by the day.

I'm not sure about the average american. Sometimes I feel I give the average person way to much credit. In reality, the average american probably doesn't know shit and believes everything the media spits out...we got freakin idiots duct taping their windows and stocking up on canned foods and water waiting for armegedon. This I would blame mainly on the media.

I think this is a very crutial time. There are wars going on all over the world as we speak. Sure, america isn't involved in a huge casualty war, but the stakes are still the same.

Personally I don't think americans are concerned enough...I don't mean everyone should be freaking out, I mean people should be more involved in what's going on in the world or at least aware. That's are problem...no one gives a fuck.

^^^You have to remember that WA state has one of the highest IQ averages in the country. The average american isn't as smart as people up here.

I agree with everything you said in your previous, much longer reply.

She (pink rag bitch) does have that whole Denise Richards thing going on but I still like the braided girl, whom I lovingly dubbed "Jenny."

Fuck that titty is like the source of Elemental Evil...every time I look at it I feel ashamed and have suicidal urges. Stay away...I sense strong totemic powers...stemming from some ancient power source!
