they read the verdict for John Walker Linhd yesterday: 20 years in jail. What do yall think about this? i personally, think its bullshit.. i mean, did he hurt anyone? no. if the US is really worried about more people going to Taliban, and have to use him to set an example, they are retarded. he was part of an orginization that he belived in, no matter how fucked up their beliefs are, how could you put him in jail that long? freedom of choice, freedom of religeon.

It's like this, yall. The taliban plotted against the u.s. for months. The commanders, ACCORDING to him, these are his words, told him that all of the u.s. would die. he STILL chose to be associated with them, so yes, he should be punished, and 20 years is pretty fair for a traitor, I think.
Think about it this way: he told in custody that the taliban would destroy everyone in the u.s. His parents live in the u.s. This man was actively plotting against his parents. Yall need to see the bigger picture here.

Of course he should be punished. I mean he knew what he was doing when he joined Taliban. He KNEW that they were a radical islamic regime which is violating human rights and killing innocent people. It has nothing to do with Islam. Its terror.

They would rather kill Bin Laden and deliver him to the US so they could continue to control Afghanistan but it was too late now because Bin Ladens son has married a daughter of the Taliban head Mullah Mohammad Omar. Well, they are a fucking family now.

In my opinion, Lindh is getting off easy.
This incident just goes to show the world that if you have the
cheese you can receive leiniancy in the court of law. If John Lindh
had of been a man of color from South Central instead of Semi
Vally (bakerville or whatever), and would have been found over in
Afghanistan I guarantee you that he would not have receivd
such a gravy sentence. He will more than likely serve about 1/3
to 1/2 his sentence before the authorties release him because
there is not enough room in prisons to hold nonviolent offenders,
unless he serves as a political prisoner. I wonder if Lindh will
associate himself with the white supremacists. I read that white
supremicists are allied with the Al Qida becasue they both hate
racial imixing and Jews.
