A day after deciding to let the trade deadline pass without making a major money-saving move, the Phoenix Suns' inactivity has turned incredibly costly.

The beleaguered Suns announced Friday that Amare Stoudemire was forced to undergo eye surgery to repair a partially detached retina suffered in a Wednesday night rout of the Los Angeles Clippers. It is Stoudemire's second eye injury since October and the All-Star forward could miss the rest of the regular season.

Stoudemire's return to physical activity has been estimated at eight weeks by the Suns. He underwent surgery Friday morning, although the club said in a statement that "recovery varies on a case-by-case basis."
Shit just missed out on gettin somethin for him.......

^^ Def hurts them right. now They're barely a playoff team as of right now. They just lost arguably their best player. Luckily they play OKC tonight and they gotta play @ Lakers, @ Home vs lakers again, @ Spurs after that...PHX playoff hopes are in serious jeopardy without Amare

HAHA! ^^^ They talked about that shit on ESPN earlier today, apparently he had an eye injury at the beginning of the year.
He said he was gonna wear them the rest of his career, but took em off after like 8 games or something.

Poor Amare might have to go back to wearing these again as soon as he comes back lol!
the fucking idiot said he was gonna wear them all season. this is the THIRD time hes had a serious eye injury. and now he just blew the suns chance at doing anything in the playoffs.. if they even make it.

Yeah Amare should have just kept wearing them even if he looked abit goofy, but most likely the safety glasses bothered him while balling. Its better to be safe than sorry after 2 eye injuries before this recent one cuz now its gonna be tough for the team to make the playoffs w/o him..... Your squad's season JUST MIGHT go down with him since he is a scoring threat with his 21 point a game!

^yeah, Amares more concerned about his looks apparently lol

So the Suns notch their third consecutive 140+ point game. First team in 18 years to do that.
