EVERYTHING ON THAT SITE IS MULTIPROXY 12. I DOWNLOADED EVERYTHING AND WHEN I EXTRACTED IT SAID "NOT A VALID ARCHIVE".

MULTIPROXY12

:h:
its only one compressed file that you need to download. just using winRAR to extract .

when u extract read the index.html file to know how to use it.

still cant figure it out, send me a IM on AIM.

try smart par or win rar
I really don't understand what you are asking.
could you give the scenario of what you are trying to do???

Use Pan (usenet reader on linux) for USENET stuff. its fast and it auto decodes alotta stuff that outlook doesn't (plus you don't have to be concerned with viruses)

hopefully I'm close to what you are asking

but where does java fit into this?

I'm confused also. I know about newsgroups but I don't understand what you're trying to do. If you are trying to decode a binary file that's been posted and all you have is the text, the file is probably encoded with uuencode, yenc, or (perhaps) base64.

If you can access newsgroups using a newsreader program (e.g. Agent for the PC, Thoth or YA-Newswatcher or MT-Newswatcher for Macintosh) then the program will be able to decode the binaries itself. But you'll need access to a news server...

@X i was told that the site (the site im trying to get the jpegs from) was made with java. I dont know why its relevent and maybe you can explain its relevency to me. the guy who told me that i needed to decode the files was the same guy who mentioned java.

@nefar i downloaded EVERY file from that site and extracted everything i downloaded. everything on that site is multiproxy12.

interesting. hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. what specifically did he say about java that may be related to decoding. very curious indeed. I ask because the mentioning of java in relation to decoding jpegs is peculiar (to say the least). but not unheard of depending on what you are doing.

((( strange thoughts of Heresy analyzing stegonography come to mind LOL j/k )))

@X I dont know why he told me that. He didnt go into it he simply said that the site was java scripted and that i would have to crop and paste to an image editor.

@nefar all the files are gone now because alt.binaries is sick as hell. its not as organized as it should be. what i was trying to decode were studio images and the use of a certain baffle and bass trap. im going to see if i can track em down again.

ooooooooooooooooooooh javascript. I gotcha!!!! java != javascript. I GOTCHA.

how funny a suffix changing the whole perspective on a subject.

javascript wouldn't cause a a problem in your browser to keep you from viewing jpegs. jpegs are natively supported in all traditional browsers. my only suggestion is use a newsgroup reader for the USENET. don't use browsers for Usenet servers.

the usenet is a very active and consistantly changed thing. data on a usenet is not typically made to be static for any period of time. in general (usually because of moderators MUCH UNLIKE message board moderators) delete info in an effort to keep the data coming in fresh.

think of the usenet as a swap meet/ garbage bin. people throw trash in it for you to grab before the dumpster comes and halls it away.

using a newsgroup reader (a good one like "pan") can snatch files fast as hell (over broadband of course). outlook and netscape sucks!
