mr brady is the producer for deep rooted
he got SLAPS
tight ass feel good shit
he uses the samples but hes on some west coast shit
some dago shit
i dont really believe that its agood idea to have gangsta producers, hip-hop producers, and commercial industry producers in the same competition....
you can say what you want about fairness, equality, and unbiased ears, but in the end....
somebody's gettin shorted....
I can agree with that statement, but good music has no boundries...we all know that....I'm sure there is a Duran Duran beat out there from the 80's you would rhyme on...haha...shit I would.
I am judging...
I am not biased, I just like good music, and I am hella honest...but I do prefer sample's....because that is how it all originated...but that is just a preference. a dope beat is a dope beat, reagrdless of how it was tracked out.
Ridley isn't a backpack cat, he has more of an agressive style....more of a revolutionary dude in my opinion, and makes ridiculous beats specifically for battles...
thing about beat battles is usually the harder the beat, the more switch up's and skill you can show in that 60 seconds or whatever is gonna get you to the next round.
you can't battle with a beat like J. Dilla's "the Light" on Common's record...just like you couldn't lyrically battle with the lyrics from that same song...
the track and the delivery are dope, just not agressive enough for a battle.
it's litterally about crushing the spirits of the man standing adacent to you on the CDJ's....real talk...
there are also alot of battle style beats that wouldn't fair well as "songs"....
I will focus specifically on the weapon brough to the table, if someone just loops 4 bars for 60 seconds that ain't what I want to hear....I want to see someone who showed up with bangers, with the intent to take people out.
