oh boy here we go again lol where my audio homies at heheh.

TONY206 peep my system. I checked the homies and what the pros thought was good and then got all this off ebay for way cheaper.

In my 2001 Pontiac Sunfire I have a Panasonic CQ-DF903U head unit. A pair of POLK 4 x 6's in the doors as well as a pair of Pioneer 6 x 9's in the rear deck lid (also getting replaced with a set of Polk 6 x 9's) and there’s a pair of Hi Fi 1 inch tweets. All the power for these speakers are being supplied by a Sony amplifier that’s puts out 200 watts I then have a pair of Audiobahn 1200Q's,these audiobahns are from the HIGH EXCURSION SERIES all chrome baskets and 2 inch rubber surround foam. For a 2 inch throw outward with 120oz magnets on each one. They are 1100 watts and peak 700 watts rms, they are a dual 4 ohm voice coil so when wired up in bridge they become a pair of 2 ohm woofers. Which are bridged to a 1ohm mono Boss 2200D class D amplifier. This amp is rated to be at 1 ohm 2200 watts power. Supplying this amp requires a constant source of power otherwise you would encounter major voltage drops(dimming of the lights). So I have a 1.5 farad digital capacitor. Everything is powered by a 4 gauge wiring kit into a 4 gang output distribution block. Except for the Boss amp. it's powered by 4 gauge all the way to the amp.

Tony...

You should choose the models that you want. Each brand as a bunch of different models. What someone else likes, you may not like...and vice versa.

This is what I like...when on a budget.

Decks: Alpine, Clarion, Pioneer/Premier

Speakers: Infinity, Focal...Kicker and Pioneer have been putting out some O.K. stuff too

Amps: Soundstream, Kicker, R.F.

Subs: Kicker, R.F., Focal, Eclipse, ID's, JL Audio...Audiobahn is cool, but the SQ is so so.

All these brands have affordabel models that should give you what you need.

If budget wasn't an issue...this list would be completely different.

a good site with a lot of good car audio: www.ikesound.com

another good site: www.the-zeb.com

i dont suggest a kicker setup cuz kickers will get loud but the bass isn't that clean. if i were you i would get a JL Audio W7 12 inch sub that shit will run u about 500-700 depending where u buy it and get a big box for it the specs will tell u the size of the box it needs - a big box! My patna got one that shit hits like no other takes about 800-1000 watts. U can get that sub and a jl audio 1000/1 amp and you will be the king baby! then for a head unit you should fuck with pioneer they build good head units. Pioneer DEH-P7500MP is a pretty good head unit has a lot of features will run u anywhere from 225-400 dollars depending on where u get it. I suggest u don't buy from any places that sell car audio at retail prices because they will hit u for your money so quick so fast. U can get it a lot cheaper from the internet or from e-bay or something. for some components get either focal or this brand from europe called CDT audio they make great components that sound crystal clear. I suggest getting components and not speakers because components get clearer than speakers and the only advantage 6x9 speakers have over components is more bass but that wont be an issue if u got a W7 pounding. so um yea thats my input good luck homie.

I got alot of my shit off ebay from CMTTRADING and IKESOUND. both of which have there own sites also. MY panasonic head unit retals at 299.99 and i got it for 159.99 on ebay. My subs are retail at 199.99 a peace and i got both of them for 159.98 brand new. Capacitor is like 200 i for for 79.99. I mean you can get hella good deals on there. I under stand what dude was sayin about the specific brands that are cheap to buy but thats mainly retail. if you shop ebay or some other place on line brands dont matter. you can still go with expensive brand that costs a shit load in the store and find it hella cheap online.

Have you ever heard, you get what you pay for? Well thats 100% true in car audio. Dont go out and buy some 59.99$ subs cause thats what they will sound like. Same thing goes for the amp and powering supplies. However Im not saying go out and spend like 5g's on some car audio. Pick and choose your shit carefully, for 2g's you can have a some NICE slap in your car.
