Built for cuban links

Now i listened to the legend of the liquid swords and it was tight along with all the other wu tang albums. however i downloaded this on a cd. listened to it for the first time. I listened to it three times and then i tossed it. I wasn't to thrilled. A shit load of skits was what i remember and i think i was missing 3 tracks when i dowloaded. Can somebody try convince me to download this again. Explain why this album is so damn great.

Stillmatic - nas

Same thing with this album. Ok album but not great. I slept on this too.

^that has nothing to do with the album "stillmatic".
Fo real.

"STILLMATIC" is a classic imo. With tracks like "Ether" - "Rewind" - You're Da Man" - "One Mic" - "Destroy And Rebuild" - "What Goes Around" - and especially "My Country". It's in my top 3 fav Nas albums thats for sure.

Common - Be
All Talib Kweli or Mos Def's albums except for the 1st one.
Both Kanye's album's

were pretty garbage but everybody says they are so great.

Cuban Linx was tight as fuck.

Kanye West albums has great production. Thats why i like his albums plus hes got a great message in his albums. Theres no one else out there like him. For example that touch the sky video. Very spirit uplifting music. Kinda like common.

I loved that Common-be album. It must not be your style. I do agree with you on the mos def and talib kweli albums. I didn't care to much for that talib kweli "quality" album. However i did like the hi tek and kwali.

jay z - the blueprint

outkast - aquemini

i thought they were both OK albums, but most fans of these artists insist those albums are their best work

If you aint feelin the Gza album now then you probably wont next time you download it either..I think it was an album you had to be feelin at the time, while wu tang was blowin up, cus that shit was back before they hit it big and they were almost considered hardcore for new york standards...I really liked it though because of all the skits and sampling, wu tang was the best at givin an album a vibe and moode through the skits and samples so that was cool for me..

Thats my favorite Outkast album, I fucking love it.

I hated Cypress Hill Black Sunday, I thought it was pure garbage and a huge let down from thier first CD...

only built for cuban linx.....you gotta understand that that was the start of an entire shift in the way new york rapped....every single rapper that released an album after that copied it...granted, nas started talking about that kind of shit on his verse on the infamous, only built was the first of its kind....

I never saw the fascination with Mos Def...the only real song I thought was tight was universal magnetic b-boy.....his albums that I heard were awful....same with blackstar and I hella liked reflection eternal at the time

everyone thought the Pretty Toney album & Wu-Tang Forever were tight & they both sucked

^ Yeah Wu-Tang forever wasn't half as good as the 36 chambers even though it had twice the songs.

I know I'll get hate for this, but I really don't feel Big L's - Lifestyles of the Poor and Dangerous. I like Big L a lot, but that album only had a few songs that I thought were tight and the rest were just okay to me.

I LOVED Aquemini though - I think that was Outkast's peak of talent before they blew up and went mainstream.

Either way...there's TONS of rap albums I bought that I regretted, and with the exception of maybe two artists, every rapper has at least one album that pales is comparison to the good ones.

yeah, I wasn't feeling that album all that much either....big l came across coo to me then, but I just didn't like the shit when I heard it....although I did like the album released after he passed

as far as outkast albums go, I still think atliens was their best, followed by southernplaylistic..., then aquemini, then stankonia, then speakerboxxx/love below....although I still think every outkast album is tight in its own regard....shit, every single one is multiplatinum....they must be doing something right
