I got a 2500 and a 2000xl. The functions are a lil different but pretty much the same .....you can upgrade the hard drive in the 2500 and it has 4 midi outputs. I prefer to you the 2000xl and the 2500 linked up and midi chained to my outboard gear...Now thats the bizzzznessss!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking about the new roland MV-8800
I have a few friends who have those(amongst there othere mpc/keys/etc) and its cool but they like there mpc4000 better...one of em made a statement that he wouldnt wish it on his enemies...and these two guys have a bigger selection of keys /samplers then guitar center.they use all there equipment and know each piece well

might fuck w/ it..im on the market for a MPC
Gas if you looking to get one to just have fun and make some beats ..consider a used 3000...sure there are alot less features..but the simplicity makes it quick and easy to get around in it...and as you know its capable of making bangin beats....I guess if its good enough for battlecat/dre/quik/hi-tek..its good enough for me...also has 4 midi outs wich you can also daisy chain midi keys/modules so It can sequence a grip of em..plus the convertors when sampling add character to your samples/drums...unlike some of the newer mpc with the drums sounding crystal clear, and steril

Yeah, I got an Akai s20 that ive been using for sampling and i just kinda wanna move up to something a little more complicated...You know..sit down with the instruction booklet for a month or what not...I put in far too much work to do things that are now possible, with a few buttons...

so yeah, time to step it up..good looking on the tip on the used 3000, how much they goin for...any idea? ill probably jump on ebay and check it out.

I usually see em go for about 1200-1500.....also a mpc60 aint no punk either...less sample time...but that aint nothing...and still 4 midi outs
