I think the best years of the simpsons were from about 1991-1996 around that time.

With that being said I still think the show is funny as hell IMO...just not as funny as they use to be. I'm 26 now and have been watching it since I was like 7-8 years old. I use to watch the little short 20-30 second Simpsons episodes on the Tracy Ullman show before it became it's own show...you older heads know what I'm talking about.

As of right now Family Guy is alot funnier than the Simpsons IMO. But I highly doubt Family Guy will be around as long as the Simpsons have been.

Doh!

The only problem with family guy is 75% of the humor comes from the little flashbacks and stuff....Unlike simpsons where the humor is build right into the script, Family guy has a story, but then adds dozens of flashbacks and blurps in per episode

"Remember that time..."
"This reminds me of when..."
"Kinda like...."

etc...etc...

still a great show though

simpsons had those type of jokes that you had to be open minded to get.....also they did shit like (maybe yall remember this) when homers at the mall talkin...and in the background someone would stop and turn their head and look at the camera for literally like 7 sec....haha i gotta laugh out of that....dumb shit....(in a good way)
