Joseph "Afroman" Foreman is back and preparing to release Afroholic: The Even Better Times, the follow-up to 2001's Good Times.
Last year, the rapper proclaimed he had found God and was leaning toward making music that reflected his new found faith and even considered a name change.
The rapper complained that Universal was pushing him to make music he was not interested in recording.
The rapper recently formed his own independent label, Hungry Hustler Records and has returned to his former rap style.
"I'm talking about stuff I know, like getting drunk, getting high, chasing women, selling dope and even my feelings for God," Foreman said. "There's a depth to this recording that hopefully will let listeners know I'm not just some guy who won the drunk karaoke lottery with 'Because I Got High' and got a record deal."
The album is a double CD and features over 30 new such as "Let's Get High Tonight," "Freak With You" and "Just My Paranoia."
Afroholic: The Even Better Times will be released on April 20 (4/20), a day celebrated by some marijuana smokers.
