Hmmm...

Yeah, I thought Greasy sounded more like Del the Funky Homosopien to me. But the point is, it's not his bad that he sounds like Aesop or Del... it's not even his bad that they sometimes rap about the same things.

I guess that when people around here rap about the hustle and sound like somebody else, it's cool... because that's the norm.

point well taken sonny and fridge. but what i am saying is that earl does not just sound like aesop he imitates him. He even has earls body language. to be honest i think earl has done quite a bit of research on rock. he copies his mannerisms. but i am not trying to diss greasy earl. there is nothing wrong with looking up to a person. i even think earl is a good rapper.

by the way if you would like to see what i am talking about aesop rock is going to be in town on monday.

Yeah, I know.

I happen to know tha Earl is a fan of Aesop Rock, he is also a fan of Del the Funkee Homosapien. He is actually the person who turned me onto Aesop Rock.

As far as him copying the guy, I don't know about that for sure. It might just be subliminal that he does it. I know he aims for a certain character when he's on stage, and how that plays out is only up to him.

I don't think he has done research, just that he looks up to those type of rappers over the Lynch's and C-Bo's that many here choose to admire. I hae seen many people imitate those artists around here whether they intend to or not.

I think you notice Earl, because there are few like him around here.

Good lookin' on that link Kaoz. If ya'll check him out, you'll see a few of his cuts there. He's got a bit more, he dropped on a shit-together EP. The EP itself is cool, but it's like one of those burned up type deals. I've been tryin' to get him to get some new tracks and make it a full LP, but he's off doing some other projects right now.
