i dont know about adware, but Spybot is what i use, and its prety good.

I run that once a week or so, so I'd probably have about 13 files found right now.

I use Adware & Spybot!

ad-aware works pretty well actually. It's rather thurough. but I use both that and Spybot: Search and Destroy as well.
