Advertising Question

Where do y'all designers advertise yourselves? Do you pass out flyers, do you advertise on myspace, etc? Is there anywhere online you can go to see if people need graphic work done or anything like that?

Id say get a myspace it doesnt hurt its free. Go to getacoder.com i think you can offer your services there. Also maybe advertise on craigslist. Just get your name out as many places you can I would say.

i have flyers...i put my contact info on all items i design...

but most of my biz is word of mouth...cats seeing something i designed and liking it then asking the person who i designed it for who i am...

the prob for me is i dont like just doing any random work...there is alot times there is something a client will want that i just think is tacky or completely wack or theyll give me horrible materials to work w/ and i just wont do it...
