east SD is kinda comin up lately as their own movement...they got alot of people out there reppin...its a whole different sound than the usual SD sound so i love the variety being made in the city lately. hella good for the city to have different music being made so SD cant be pigeonholed into one specific 'gangsta rap' sound.

& if you think about it the vibe in east dago is completely different than the other parts of the city so its only right it has its own sound to go along with it.

Besides Adonis, what other artists does that part of town have thats up and coming?

c-wall, TY & Mack Twon as a solo artists, double o Beez (out of state), young Papi, j boog, trap Davis, t-keezin, dave moss although he's in LA workin w Dom Kennedy and nip rite now he's still east SD, pimpsy,gangsta gold macnificent/dank city as far as i know is east SD i used to see them there all the time, as far as known ppl Irocc, 12 guage shottie, ecay, treali duce,mooch massive, mic loc, cyco city, chali Mac, cee wee 3 & googie, to name some. Dunno where Smigg & smac1hunnit lives in SD but u could possibly throw him in. There's a bunch of younger cats I can't think of all right now I'll think of some more later

to me, the sound emerging from the area is more upbeat than the usual things the 'OG's' are doing

I've heard of a few of these guys before, mainly the later names like Dank City Boys, 12 Gauge Cee Wee, etc. They've been putting out music for a while. But I'll check out the other names you mentioned.

I'm all for hearing new shit. In a way, we kinda pigeonholed ourselves by only propping/supporting the OG sound. It made people afraid to experiment musically.

Didn't know Dave Moss was from East San Diego. I thought damn near all the familiar names u mentioned were from the southeast. shows how much I know. lol
