Text size: A A A A Hip-Hop : West Coast Rap : AceMack Daddy AceMack Daddy
For the past 14 years, Michael Angelo Vittelli, aka AceMack Daddy, has been an integral part of Sacramento’s underground Rap and Hip-Hop scene. He was born with music in his soul and his passion for it has followed him on the many journeys, paths, twists and turns life has taken him. Ace and a couple of his friends began recording in 1990. Standing between two cassette recorders, without even a microphone to amplify their voices, they recorded the first NINEmm Records productions. In the later 1990s, when digital technology was introduced to the world, AceMack dove into it head on and found his element. Now, in the year 2004, Ace has a complete music studio on his state-of-the-art computer system. With it, he is able to record, create beats and loops and produce superior quality tracks. AceMack Daddy can spit into the mike in his own living room and make studio-quality, high definition music. Ace stays on top of the game by keeping up to date with the highest rated software and equipment available.

In the past few years, AceMack has recorded, produced and released over 150 tracks over various online independent musician sites including Soundclick, Besonic, IUMA, Vitaminic and the former mp3.com (now owned by CNET at http://music.download.com). Ace’s productions are always rising up the charts generated by user downloads and he can almost always be found in the top ten.

AceMack Daddy has joined up on collaborations with many other independent artists from all over the lobe. In addition to spittin his shit as AceMack Daddy, Mike Vittelli creates beats for his own lyrics as well as for other artists. His original, unique beats and loops can be found as Blackjack21. Mike works as a Producer for 9mm Records, helping other independents put out only top quality tracks.

AceMack Daddy’s lyrical style is hardcore street shit influenced primarily by his own life experiences. While a majority of mainstream MC’s seem to be focusing on extravagant lifestyles laced with money and excess, the reality that Ace brings us through his lyrics is a refreshing reminder of what Rap started out as. The listener is easily caught up in the story of the song, always wanting to hear what will happen next. His words are true and his message is clear.

“No outlandish bullshit here. No bling bling, pinky ring, Lexus fairytale crap. Just that street shit we all go through from Meth to death, from county jail to the pen, from cheatin ass hoes to cheatin on dem hoes, from babies’ mama to mamas’ drama, from punks to playas, from Sactown to your town.

The all around phenomenal talent in Michael Vittelli’s artistry is definitely the best kept secret in underground and online music.
