So I found this chintzy ass little program some dude wrote called TempCleaner.

I just removed a virus that got past Norton, I was having choppy performance, etc.

I use TuneUp Utilities and Ccleaner and I was amazed at the amount of shit these programs miss.

I ran this shit and cleaned out 20 gigs from my hard drive of temp files. 10k+ files.

Its almost like reformatting without having to reformat.

It gets out all temp files: everything from system restore points to temp internet files, cache files, everything you can think of.

The difference before and after running it on my comp is like night & day.

The only thing it can fuck with is antivirus shit. You may have to reinstall your antivirus programs after running it.

Also shit like Quicken or any application using .net may get messed up by its use/ may require a reinstall.

But for the average person...I recommend it absolutely.

Its like the REAL finally fast. Ha ha.

I don't know man, I ran the program. I got a bar in my screen. I couldn't see what it was doing, something I don't like.

Then I tried to uninstall but it won't let me. Great app.

sounds like your video card is overheating, id take it apart, and see if the heatsinbks are on right.

Actually, the newest version of Norton got the highest marks of all the home anti-virus software packages on some sites.
