Uncle Sams Curse has been out of print since mid 1999. I just found a used copy at Vintage Vinyl for $7.99 last weekend. I have 2 copies of Uncle Sams Curse used and 1 copy brand new unopened. I just also found a brand new unopened copy of Kokane "Funk Upon A Rhyme" for 99 cents. Hell, I think I have at least 5 copies of Funk Upon A Rhyme. They are my babies.

Umm, okay. Maybe you should get out and make some friends.

I think it's hard to find because it is so damn tight and sold out of stores so fast. Everyone and their mom wants one. Remember the two singles they had for that album? Kalifornia and Black Supaman. They were all over BET Rap City when first released. Even if every song on the album sucked, I would still buy it for Black Supaman because to me that is one of the tightest rap songs ever made.

kokane's "funk upon a rhyme" is a muthufucking classic.
i still got tall cann's copy, seeing as how somebody
snatched up mine. it's one of those cd's hard enough
to find in stores that muthufuckas will steal from out
inder your nose. much like "season of the sicc." i
always wondered how hutch could of given up some
of the tightest beats ever produced like that. (big
ATL fan)
postscript: what ever happened between kokane & ATL?

Kokane "Funk Upon A Rhyme" is a fucking classic CD. It was way ahead of it's time. Most people did not feel this album and it got bad reviews. But this Cd is a underground classic and it's Big Hutch's aka Cold 187um's best production. I don't think he could even produce something that tight again. And if he did it would be a miracle.

I think Kokane & ATL are still tight. I heard that Cold 187um laid down a few tracks for Mr. Kane's new CD that will be droping on Doggystyle.

@ codiene:
if they still tight,
why the absence of kokane
on the last few ATL records?
i always looked forward to his
features on their records.
("gorilla pimpin") but on the
last few ATL records he's been
absent. which is why i wonder
what's going on between 'em,
if anythang at all.

kokane was piss poor for years like he said in interviews - he had to make porno films even tho he had a wife and kids at home just to make money - he lived in a trailor...i think above the law just wasn't trying to fuck with him in that state, but that's my own personal interpretation.

I am not for sure. I think Kokane was trying to stray away from ATL and make more of his solo carear. I honestly dont know because I have not heard in any article. The last time I seen Kokane was in The Source almost a year ago and he did not mention ATL once. And I read the new ATL article in Murder Dog and they did not mention Koke at all.

Yeah, Kokane always came tight on ATL records like: Gorilla Pimpin, Kalifornia (the tighest ATL/Koke song), One Time Too Many, and ect. Thats why I think the last two ATL LP's were kinda mediocre compared to all of their LP's because Kokane was absent from them and the Record Label politics.
