this aint eccr related... but i thought sum of tha folks here could help me out... aight i got 2 10 inch eclipse subs... n im knockin one day... n i notice it aint hittin as hard.. n i look at tha shit n only one of tha 2 subs is hittin tha other is just not movin...

SO MY QUESTION IS... IS THERE ANY WAY TO FIX IT IF THA SUB IS BLOWN? HOW COME ONLY ONE OF THEM BLEW N THA OTHER DIDNT? I PAID SUM GOOD MONEY FOR EM... SO IM ASKIN FO YA'LLS HELP...thanx homies

you would be better off just buyin a new sub, i reccomend anythin by bazooka, you can find some 10's on ebay for $20 and they bump hard as fuck, i got two el1004 10" and you can hear me mobbin down the block

yea i checked it they came loose but they didnt... i hooked it up n it dont move... so i guess it is blown.. but why did only one blow n not tha other... tha magnets are huge n im only runnin 760 wats.. shit is hurt mayn

when you press the speaker in by hand with the stereo off, do you hear a funny sound? if there is a whole on the back of the speaker in the middle of the magnet, press the speaker in by hand and smell in that whole, if it is blown, you will be able to smell that it is burned and it is likely blown, especially if it's broken. There could be numerous other reasons why it's not working too. Do you have a one or 2 channel amp, how are they hooked up... sometimes speakers just blow, not explaination needed

i would all but guarantee that it's blown. What happens when you press it in like that and it plays is, the voice coil is making contact again like it was in one piece like it should be. Your voice coil is the thing that blows when the speaker is blown, and when it's blown, it's in two pieces. You press it together, and it will work for a second. Did you expect them to blow at the same time? Why are you so suprised that it happened one at a time? If you are bumping just one speaker now with the same hook up, you have to be careful that you dont' have an impedence mismatch cause that could blow the other one. Go to where you bought it to get it checked, or a mom and pop stereo shop that sells eclipse, they'll be the most help

WHAT MODEL ECLIPSE SUBS DO YOU HAVE?AND WHAT KIND OF AMP AND WHATTS DO YOU HAVE.SOME ECLIPSE SUBS ARE POWER HUNGARY AND IF YOU DONT PUT ENOUGH POWER THEY WILL BLOW.I USED TO WORK AT A SHOP IN HAYWARD THAT SOLD ECLIPSE AND I USED TO HAVE THEM IN MY CAR.I ONLY SAW A FEW PAIR EVER BLOW.ONE OF THEM WAS MINE(MY FAULT)

MAKE SURE THEY ARE WIRED CORRECTLY. THAT MAY BE WHY THEY SOUND LIKE SHIT.3 -10 SHOULD SOUND COO.

they hit hard as fuck, don't get me wrong, but they don't hit the high, nor the low's as well as the 2 12" solo barics i used to have. They are wired correctly, 2 ohm series-parallel into a 2 ohm load with more than enough power to push at least another 10 on top of those, the speakers just suck
