Yup--Bash is breaking out to the Midwest, too! I was at this KARMA RECORDS in Plymouth, Indiana. This particular Karma is one of those "only the current hits" type of store--i.e., they have an entry on their racks for (say) Scarface, but the only Scarface CD that's on the shelf is the MY BALLS AND MY WORD comp that Rap-A-Lot put out. In other words, GOOD FUCKING LUCK in finding THE DIARY or MY HOMIES! LMFAO! The only reason I usually go to this Karma is to rummage through their used CD section, where I can usually find a few gems (which are mostly Rock or R&B, but hey...LOL)! Their "new" CD sections usually leave me cold, though.
Anyway, I was at the Plymouth, IN Karma a month ago, and whaddaya know, there were two or three copies of THE SMOKIN' NEPHEW!!! It was a trip for me to think that this underground dude would now have such a name that he's in a shop like this Karma store!!! (this shop NEVER had, say, VELVETISM or NEGOTIATIONS in stock). It was a trip, and I felt great for Bash for the rest of that night, and the week that followed! I still do!
@Jay Tee, B-12, LMD and whoever else is involved--props in getting Bash the recognition he deserves! Hope you can do the same for 40 Ounce in general now that you've got Universal backing you!
PEACE!
