Just wanted to say, Baby Bash is workin his way out here this way to NY. Shit is starting to play out here lil by lil. I know a fool from cleveland and he just picked up smokin nephew cause they are spinnin the shit out of it there. I've heard his single in stores around here. Good shit. Did you get a deal thru universal too jay tee? Damn, it'd be a trip to see you on that same page again. Never thought a latino rap artist from northern cali would be breakin this east coast market. Good luck with all that Jay Tee

Yup--Bash is breaking out to the Midwest, too! I was at this KARMA RECORDS in Plymouth, Indiana. This particular Karma is one of those "only the current hits" type of store--i.e., they have an entry on their racks for (say) Scarface, but the only Scarface CD that's on the shelf is the MY BALLS AND MY WORD comp that Rap-A-Lot put out. In other words, GOOD FUCKING LUCK in finding THE DIARY or MY HOMIES! LMFAO! The only reason I usually go to this Karma is to rummage through their used CD section, where I can usually find a few gems (which are mostly Rock or R&B, but hey...LOL)! Their "new" CD sections usually leave me cold, though.

Anyway, I was at the Plymouth, IN Karma a month ago, and whaddaya know, there were two or three copies of THE SMOKIN' NEPHEW!!! It was a trip for me to think that this underground dude would now have such a name that he's in a shop like this Karma store!!! (this shop NEVER had, say, VELVETISM or NEGOTIATIONS in stock). It was a trip, and I felt great for Bash for the rest of that night, and the week that followed! I still do!

@Jay Tee, B-12, LMD and whoever else is involved--props in getting Bash the recognition he deserves! Hope you can do the same for 40 Ounce in general now that you've got Universal backing you!

PEACE!

That's because the Smokin Nephew was distributed by Universal. The other 2 were distributed by Bayside. Not that hard to figure out.

Sure, I knew about that--If I seem a little overly geeked up over the whole thing, hey--it's been a while since a Bay-based (or associated) rapper has received ANY recognition from the radio or elsewhere, and it was just cool to see his stuff at this particular Karma store which is not easy to please as far as retailing...this is a step in the right direction, IMHO.

PEACE!
