Wide receiver Terrell Owens said during a radio interview on Thursday that his chances of returning to the 49ers are "gloomy," and the Eagles, Ravens, and Falcons are at the top of his destination wish list, the San Jose Mercury News reported. "I just want to go somewhere where my talents can be used in abundance," Owens explained. "God blessed me with a lot of talent, and I really don't feel like the last two or three years that I have been able to take my talents to the roof." Owens also made some comments on his personal web site, and his remarks about quarterback Jeff Garcia were less than flattering. "This past season we had a chance to make the playoffs and they left Jeff in there!" Owens wrote. "I'm willing to work out a contract if the Niners can get a quarterback to match my skills as a receiver! I want to win a Super Bowl and I can be a big part of that. A receiver is only as good as his QB!" When asked about Garcia's recent arrest, Owens replied, "Everybody wants to criticize me for this and that, but have I represented the 49ers in that fashion? Nope -- I don't think so! I'm not the problem, I'm the answer! If I can't get a QB to help us win the Super Bowl, I won't be back!"

Absolutely no disrespect to the players they have, but there's something out there they need to get them over the hump. I definitely believe I'm that missing piece." Owens later added, "I just know what I bring to the table, as far as my ability. Not to take away from guys on their squad. I just don't see them being playmakers. And I, myself, can definitely benefit from McNabb's arm. I think McNabb is a great QB. I think he's in a similar situation that I'm in out in San Fran. A receiver is only as good as his quarterback. My abilities rely on a QB's ability and his arm. Jeff [Garcia] is not someone that's a pocket passer that's going to throw 50 yards down the field. On the flip side, McNabb can throw that pass, but has guys that struggle to turn them into something."

Let him go. I surely won't be sad to see him leave if he does. I sure hope they don't dish out the money just to keep him as opposed to gaining to some help on the defensive side of the ball.

as for T.O., give his ass the BOOT. i'm tired of reading about him gloating and all this shit. i heard from a homie close to the NIner organization that they might be thinking of releasing Garcia and keeping Owens after wut happened with Garcia's DUI. unless they acquire a new QB this would be a HUGE mistake. Franchise tag his ass and trade him away.

There's no denying that T.O. has lots of talent, but I find it funny that he blames Garcia when he dropped more passes this season than he caught. The man can play, but too bad the one thing that really would make him the greatest is the thing he's always seemed to lack: he can hardly make the HUGE catches. He's always dropped passes it's just become more noticeable now cuz the Niners didn't have a winning season.

I'm sorry to tell you this,but as a Guru....Brandon Lloyd is not taking over for anybody of T.O.'s caliber.Lloyd is a pretty good reciever,but he does not require a double team or any kind of bracket coverage that T.O. is used to getting.T.O.'s departure is only gonna cause more problems for the Whiners other recievers because there will be less real estate to opperate in.Us Philly fans will appreciate a star reciever who wants to take over,and lord knows we need a reciever who can get off a jam.

T.O. WANTS OUT !!!

Too bad he's gonna drop every pass. T.O., as good as he is, simply cannot make the big plays. He's been living off of the one big play he made when the Niners FINALLY knocked Green Bay out of the playoffs a few years ago. But that shit don't cut it. He bitches and moans way too much when he only makes a small fraction of the big plays that come his way. Look at his last game when he broke his collar bone. He dropped about four passes and the one that he finally does catch, he breaks his fuckin collar bone. I'm not gonna deny that his skills will be missed, but life goes on. The Niners won 5 super bowls before he came to the team and none when he was on it. If blaming Garcia for his dropped passes makes him feel better, then whatever. Hate the Niners all you want, but until your teams do what the Niners have done, your words don't mean anything. Right now, the only fans that can talk shit are the ones whos team is in the super bowl.

T.O. drops WAY too many passes. if he were to go to Philly, it would be McNabb's fault that Owens is not getting the ball enough, and it will also be McNabb's fault that Owens is dropping the fuckin ball every other play. at least that's the man Owens will blame. you can laugh all you want, but Jeff Garcia IS a better QB than 75% of the league's starters. i wouldnt expect you to agree or even admit it if you did, but that's just how it is. T.O. was never my hero, shit he has never even been my favorite player on the team. up until this year, my favorite player to watch was actually Garcia. now my favorite player to watch is Brandon Lloyd. you can call Garcia gay all you want and hate all you want, but the fact is he's a very good QB and an exciting player to watch. he can run, he can pass, he's a tough motherfucker, and you never know wut he's gonna do when he has the ball on the move. whatever though, you people can hate all you want, i know wut's real tho.

I'm with Tone, TO's gonna go to a team where he'll never have the success he had with Garcia.
