Let these morons know how you feel. Email the General Manager.

[email protected]

D-Sharpe, Amen, Jake Easy, Myself put a LOT of time, blood, sweat, etc into that show and we didnt even get a FINAL show. Fuck this faggot ass station. Where else could you go on a Sunday night from 6-10 and hear Cougnut, Mac Dre, Messy, Guce, Yuk, etc????? How many other stations had to change their format cuz we were doin it first?????? Email this piece of shit and let him know what you think.

Gabe posting - lol @ Sav - yes we had to bump the interview twice but the way I remember it, I set a date after those bumps that was set in stone, gave you my number and said call in case you got lost and you never showed or called. I may even have the last pm you sent telling me you guys would be there for sure.

Right now we are in negotiations for a better show we'll keep ya'll posted. Shouldn't take too long. Just gotta work out some kinks. Please send e-mails to the station and look foreward to the Streetbeat Anniversery CD comin out soon. Streetbeats was the #2 show in the Market at its time, and we wern't on late night. More listeners then any other hip-hop show in the NorthBay. Thank You for all the continued support, and keep supporting talented local artists.

Responding to Gabe, you're prolly right about that I think I got frustrated and cussed you out in my mind after the first two bumps and I totally understood that established mufuckas came first. Once we all started working on other shit we kinda lost track. I kinda think you might have bumped that third interview now that I think about it but if you have evidence that you didn't I believe you.

Still bad news about yall losing the show though man.

maybe the station tried too hard giving EVERYBODY a chance. I don't listen to "On The Block" cause half of it is from cats I ain't feelin. Call me ignorant, or a hater er whatever....there will always be the classic bay shit. there will always be hot new bay shit. but lets face it over 70% of "BAY AREA RAP" is NOT CRACKIN

same goes for any other area. I don't live in the 707 but i heard this station was actually tight. its too bad they takin it away but honestly gabe i would like to see the numbers cause ratings is the only reason I could think of for them takin it off the air

keep grindin...1

Were gettin the numbers from our boy right now, numbers we saw each week with our OWN eyes but I guess Im a liar now lol its all good. Dont even trip. Just one less show a week where you wont hear Cougnut, UDI, 11/5, Woodie, Cold World, etc on regular radio.

Numbers. Ha. The reason they cancelled the show is as of Feb 4th Hot 98.7 will become a Top 40 format station. They lost thier reporting status and if they are the only Top 40 reporting station in the market they can get it back. Politics. The Program Director told me that StreetBeat was too HARDCORE for a Pop audience. No Beef, just a format change. There is not one person at Wine Country Radio that is capable of running a "Hip-Hop" station anyways. It is in thier best interest. StreetBeat had more loyal listeners then any other show period.
